I’m amazed that Calvin was able to get through this interview without mentioning his extensive “Private Sector Management” experience.

I’m moving out of South Tacoma because I can’t in good conscience raise my daughters in this pathetic neighborhood.

Last year, one of my neighbors decided to shoot their gun in the streets during a spousal dispute. It took the police 15 minutes to get here. With CONFIRMED Shots fired! No excuse.

I’m moving to Fircrest! Now I just have to live with the schools.

I was actually undecided between Calvin Goings and Pat McCarthy until I read a recent interview from her in exit 133. There are many issues that I seem to agree with Calvin on, but one that stands out is this. In our region, we have debated and debated for 30 years about Mass transit. I personally want our elected officials to help come up with viable solutions and actually do something positive. With green house gas emissions, global warming, and unstable gas prices, every year we wait costs us plenty.

Calvin says above “I fully support a joint effort among Sound Transit, the City of Tacoma, and Pierce Transit to construct a street car network as a viable alternative to traffic congestion.”

I think that could work.

Pat McCarthy said on Mass Transit that ” I don’t think the timing is right” and “I think we need to listen to the voters and make sure that whatever we put back to the voters is something they feel positive about”

That, to me doesn’t accomplish a thing.

Policy makers have been asking the public for 30 years what they want. If she doesn’t know what we want by now, I will vote for Calvin.

Eric,
All important issues for Pierce County. Calvin appears to have a solid overall understanding of the problems and solutions that we need to face in Pierce County. I think he is the most qualified for the job.
